What is Egyptian Cotton?
This is a specific variety of cotton, Gossypium barbadense, grown in Egypt, where the climate promotes longer growth of the cotton fibers. This cotton is classified as ELS or Extra Long Staple cotton. These long, smooth fibers are spun into fine threads and then woven into a high quality fabric that is soft and flexible.
Durable
Because Egyptian cotton is characterized by its long staples, the threads can be more tightly spun creating sheets that are long wearing and resist pilling.
Wicking
Egyptian cotton is naturally absorbent wicking moisture away from the sleeper to keep you comfortable and dry.
Vibrant
In the production process, the high absorbency of Egyptian cotton allows the fibers to readily take up dyes giving you vibrant colored sheets with colors that last.
Breathable
With a thread count of 400 per square inch, Daniadown has created a sheet that is soft, durable and breathable. Because the threads are not a overly compacted, as with extra high thread count sheets, air flows freely through the sheet keeping you cool.

I'm a Daniadown sheet fan and won't use anything else. I needed a replacement fitted sheet but didn't know the matching color. My main concern was I didn't know if the color online would be as it would appear in person (there are a few shades of beige/taupe'ish over the years). It was PERFECT very close match to online AND the speed of delivery was AMAZING! I usually buy in store but they don't always have the color(s) I want in stock and with COVID social distancing stores were closed here. With this great service including FREE shipping over $50 (that is a deal maker for me) I will definitely shop online here again! Thank you!!

I bought a set of Bluejay king size sheets in 2005 as a housewarming gift for my husband and I. And in 2017 came the one and only need to replace any of the pieces. That's quality.
Not having ordered online from daniadown before, I did and was delighted to discover I could order components of a set. What seemed like "minutes" later, my new bottom sheet was delivered to my door. Later that evening it was on the bed and we were cozy once more.
This was as wonderful experience as it was in 2005!
